- NFL. Critics claim that some are exaggerating Shedeur Sanders' performance in OTAs just to carry favor with his father Deion
For Shilo Sanders, family has always come first. And during a recent Twitch livestream from a casual golf outing with his Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie teammates, that bond took center stage in an unexpected, emotional moment.
While bantering with fans in the chat, one eagle-eyed viewer noticed a number scrawled on Shilo's golf cart, what looked like "144," and assumed it referenced Shedeur Sanders' draft position.
The younger Sanders was selected 144th overall in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, a steep drop from where many once projected him.
But Shilo quickly corrected the assumption with a smile, explaining it was actually "14A," likely referring to a cart designation.
Even so, the mix-up prompted a heartfelt, unscripted message from the older brother.
"It's all right, Shedeur. You're first round on my books, buddy," Shilo said softly, turning to the camera with a tinge of emotion in his voice. "You're my number one pick 'cause you're my number one brother this month."
From prank calls to draft day heartbreak, Shilo stood strong for Shedeur
The brothers, known for their vibrant family vlogs and candid interactions, let fans into their world when Shedeur's surprising fall out of the first round aired live.
Amid the excitement and nerves, a cruel prank call pretending to be an NFL team rattled the family. Shilo, visibly frustrated in the video, immediately stepped in to protect and comfort his younger brother.
In a moment that started as a joke but turned sincere, Shilo used his signature humor and sibling teasing to lift his brother up again.
"When the new sibling rankings come out, y'all will see," he teased, referencing the lighthearted monthly rankings he keeps among his siblings. Shedeur, he hinted, has now earned the top spot.
Despite the fifth-round tag, Shedeur's time at Colorado proved his elite talent. He shattered multiple school records, including most ing yards in a season, and was the heartbeat of the Buffaloes' offense.
His draft position may not reflect his full value, but to Shilo, and likely the entire Sanders clan, it never mattered.
