Aaron Rodgers is already making his first moves with the Pittsburgh Steelers at the team's minicamp, and his results have led him to be compared to a franchise legend.

The truth is that his arrival on the team seeks to bring a breath of fresh air to fans and the team. Since the retirement of star Ben Roethlisberger three years ago, Pittsburgh has not had a quarterback who could fill his shoes.

ed for his magnificent ability to trust his teammates and baffle his opponents with game-changing plays, Kenny Pickett and Russell Wilson tried, but they couldn't match Big Ben's style.

Now, with Rodgers wearing the Steelers' black and gold with the familiar No. 8, he is expected to lead the team to the top. And one person who has a lot of faith in him is his teammate, Pat Freiermuth.

During his appearance on the Not Just Football podcast, the veteran tight end was asked about Rodgers' arrival, to which he responded enthusiastically: "Yeah, I know new guy every year there for me, so I'm excited to meet him, and I will try to get to know him and work with him."

The comparison that left fans hopeful

Freiermuth knows what it's like to play and receive es from Roethlisberger, so he surprised all the fans by comparing Aaron to Big Ben:

I think he's similar to Ben in a way where he's going to trust you to be where you're going to be, and he's going to throw you open. I can see on film where he's expecting you to be somewhere, and if he trusts you, he's going to throw it to that spot and let you make a play.

Pat knows that the key to bringing the team back to glory is to build a relationship that allows them to make the most of their individual talents and empower them.

The four-time NFL MVP signed a one-year contract worth $13.6 million, with $10 million guaranteed and incentives that could push the total to $19.5 million.
