Alkorta resumed the story and confirmed that the fight was between Real Madrid players: "Those of us who had played as starters went in earlier and I was shaving. "Did the blood reach the river?" Manu Carreño asked him.
Rafa Alkorta denied that the blood reached the river because "one came from behind, with two who grabbed him, and stopped him. But he came in shouting 'where is he, where is he?'".
"And I thought... First of all, how calmly it happened... As if to say, this has stayed on the field," he recalled.
